The environment for this intersection collision was a flat, horizontal intersection with raised curbs. The surface was dry. Damage to the Ford pickup's right fender and the front of the Jaguar sedan confirmed the pickup, towing a 2-axled utility trailer, had turned left in front of the oncoming sedan. The path of pre-impact skid marks revealed the sedan driver had steered and braked attempting to avoid impact. Damage to the left rear corner of the sedan and the right side of the trailer were the result of secondary impact. Rest positions were documented by the police during their on-site investigation.
